Curt’s Café South in Evanston is known for their delicious coffee, baked goods and lunch items. But at the heart of Curt’s is their work with at-risk and formerly incarcerated young women. Curt’s employs, provides job training and teaches life skills in a hands-on and highly personalized format to these young women, each of whom has pledged that she is “ready to try.”
Join us as Karli Butler, social service provider at Curt’s Café South, shares her insight on these resilient, vibrant, and hardworking young women. She’ll help us understand the challenges these women face and the challenges of helping them. FREE and open to all current OLLI members.
