Speaker Robin Rue Simmons
Founder and Executive Director of First Repair, which works nationally to educate and equip leaders, stakeholders, and allies who are advancing local reparations policies that remedy historic and ongoing anti-Black practices.
Our speaker will discuss the creation and implementation of the Evanston reparations program, the process used to decide on the fund recipients and the impact the program is having on the community. She will also discuss the implementation of similar programs across the country and the challenges faced in instituting such a program.
