ClassGraphic m a European perspective through the works of acclaimed European moviemakers. Such films bring realism to the stories of soldiers and civilians who endured the horror and tragedy of the Nazi occupation of their homelands. Among the films that will be viewed and discussed in class are: Dunkirk (Britain), Days Of Glory (France), Come And See (Russia), Katyn (Poland), Max Manus, Man Of War (Norway), Downfall (Germany), among others. Most of the films we will watch are recent recipients of top awards in Europe and in the U.S. Articles about each film and its subject matter will be sent to you a few days before the class.
