ClassGraphic If you crave chocolate, indulge in our study group. Imagine 14 weeks of chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate as we examine and discuss its history through geographical, political, cultural, and religious lenses. We’ll also discuss the chemistry, production, and the health benefits of chocolate in its many forms. And we’ll examine chocolate storytelling in art, literature, and film. There will be opportunities to taste test and share our thoughts. Our primary resource will be The True History of Chocolate by Sophie D. Coe and Michael D. Coe, 3rd ed. (Thames & Hudson, 2013) in addition to online articles and websites. So, grab your favorite brand of chocolate and join us in a journey to indulge your sweet tooth.
