Trust and Truth: Inside the Johnson & Johnson Story

« back to classes page
ClassGraphic Behind closed doors, America’s most trusted brand built an empire—while quietly burying its darkest secrets. This seven-week study group launches a forensic investigation inspired by No More Tears (Random House, 2025)  by Gardiner Harris. The book dismantles Johnson & Johnson’s meticulously engineered public image, exposing scandals, cover-ups, and the human stories hidden beneath a global corporate giant. Through gripping readings, real-world case studies, podcasts, TED Talks, and investigative documentaries, participants will confront how branding shapes belief, how corporate power infiltrates medicine, and how ordinary people become collateral damage. Together, we will dissect the company’s most consequential controversies—from talc and Tylenol, to opioids and medical devices—revealing the volatile intersection of science, ethics, and corporate influence.
