"Come join us in learning about a fascinating person who lived in our lifetime. During the1960s through the 1970s Buckminster (Bucky) Fuller was well known as a visionary thinker and the ‘inventor ‘of the geodesic domes. Some pioneers of Silicon Valley widely credited his writings for inspiring them to develop the ambitious information systems we use today. At the same time many who read his writings and heard him speak considered him a charlatan. Join us to examine his philosophy, inventions, and life. We will read Inventor of the Future, (Dey Street Books, 2022) by Alec Nevala-Lee. Using videos and supplemental articles we will briefly contrast Fuller’s career with contemporary designers of his time."
