How do you feel about using AI? Are you curious, or a little afraid of it? This hands-on, in-person study group will help overcome your fears as you learn how to get started using AI and it will give you the confidence to keep experimenting with these new tools. AI is at its best when it supports your strengths, your creativity, and your wisdom. You will not be alone in this adventure. This 7-week study group will provide you with experience using free AI applications to share your creativity with the other participants. The close-up view of your AI creations and direct instant feedback from your session mates will speed your mastery of this powerful new technology. Prior to our study group, you will receive self-directed learning tutorials, YouTube videos that demonstrate and allow you to practice each task. This is a hands-on study group. Participants should be comfortable bringing and using a laptop or tablet during each session. They should also be able to use Zoom and share their screen when needed. Join us as we explore the new world of AI capabilities to research, create images and videos, and provide data solutions in spreadsheets. This 7-week study group will be offered twice during the fall term.
