If you like discussing and analyzing movies, this bonus group is for you! Every three weeks, the movie for discussion will be listed on the MyOLLINU website. After viewing the movie at home for the first time, you will view the movie a second time at home, using the posted Discussion Questions, articles, and video clips which will deepen your discussion of the film. Our emphasis is on how the story is told using the techniques of film-making. The group will meet on September 14th, October 5th, October 26th, November 16th, and December 7th. The movie selections for Fall are: Remarkably Bright Creatures (Newman, 2026); Köln 75 (Fluk, 2025); A Private Life (Zlotowski, 2025); The Invite (Wilde, 2026); and The Wizard of the Kremlin (Assayas, 2026). Our procedure is two part. The first, presented by the co-coordinators, is a short distillation of the artists involved in the production. In the second part, we analyze and discuss whether the director and the crew of artists have successfully told the cinematic story.
