Documentary Films

« back to classes page
In this study group we will view and discuss a documentary film each week. Each participant will select a film and lead the discussion. We will pay attention to both the content of each film and its aesthetic and technical aspects. The goals of this study group are to encourage discussion, to appreciate the filmmakers’ artistry, point of view and impact on our culture, and to better understand our world. Participants will be responsible for viewing the week’s selection in advance. The selections may be rented through an online streaming service for a minimal fee, available via the internet for free, or borrowed from a library. We will limit any required subscriptions to Netflix or Amazon Prime. Join us as we view and discuss a variety of documentary films.
