This study group is for long time fans of The New Yorker
as well as newcomers. At each session we will examine the contents of the current issue and then explore a previously assigned article in depth. A volunteer discussion leader who has chosen the article leads the discussion. Conversations are lively. Everyone is expected to lead a discussion once a semester. Participants will be encouraged to become “watchers” who briefly discuss cartoons, movie reviews, covers, or some other aspect of the current issue. A subscription to the magazine is necessary. No class on 09/30/19. Make up class will be held on 12/16/19.
