ClassGraphic

The mental health of older adults presents a wide range of special challenges that are rising dramatically in the wake of Covid-19. That is why public policy, healthcare and government responses to the pandemic must consider more than just chronological age as a criterion for policy and resource allocation. Dr. William E. Haley, 2020 Chair of American Psychological Association Committee on Aging (CONA), will present its recently-endorsed Resolution on Ageism, that condemns all forms of ageism, and cites the crucial importance of empowering older adults and their caregivers during this unprecedented time.
