Can you imagine a more meaningful experience right now than to learn and appreciate the lives of Ukrainians living in Chicago? Join the Sunflowers in Ukrainian Village study group as we study when, where, and why Ukrainian Village was established in Chicago. During the first session, in Wieboldt Hall, we will study the history of Ukraine and be joined by an Ukrainian Village citizen who will share the particulars of one of the fastest-growing and most impassioned neighborhoods in the city. During Sessions two, three, and four, we will visit and tour the Ukrainian National Museum, Ukrainian Modern Art Museum, Saint Nicholas Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Cathedral and Saints Volodymyr & Olha Ukrainian Catholic Church, and if time permits, the Holy Trinity Orthodox Cathedral. Following the last session, after some free time to visit shops, we will dine together at the Tryzub Ukrainian Kitchen. Study group members must provide their own transportation. Join us as we learn about, appreciate, support, and have fun with the people of Ukrainian Village.
