ClassGraphic Expand your mind by reading and discussing literature from different parts of the world and from different periods of time. We will first discuss The Night Watchman by Louise Erdrich (Harper Collins 2020). At 464 pages, it is our longest book. Other books that we will analyze average 200 pages or less and include Turn of the Screw by Henry James (1898), Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe (1959), To Have and Have Not by Ernest Hemingway (1937), The Last Tycoon by F Scott Fitzgerald (1941), The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros (1983) and Where the Line Bleeds by Jesmyn Ward (Scribner 2008).
