Fiction Writers Workshop

« back to classes page
ClassGraphic If you love to write fiction: novels, short stories, or flash fiction and want to improve your writing skills, join us for this workshop focused on writing great fiction. Short stories of published contemporary writers will be read and discussed. The text The Making of a Story by Alice LaPlante (W.W. Norton and Co., 2010) will be used to sharpen our knowledge of the elements of craft. Twice during the semester participants will have the opportunity to submit an original work of up to 25 pages for peer review. Let the narratives of these published works and the creative genius of your peers inspire you to bring the characters and plots of your stories alive. Storytellers of all levels are welcome.
