« back to classes page
Ernest Hemingway, American novelist and Nobel Prize winner, had a strong influence on 20th century fiction. We will read The Sun Also Rises, A Farewell to Arms, and For Whom the Bell Tolls. If you have read these books in the past, this is an opportunity to reread, reevaluate and reinterpret these classics. If you haven’t read them, it’s about time! Each study group participant is expected to lead a class discussion. Our texts are Hemingway’s The Sun Also Rises (Scribner, 2006), A Farewell to Arms: The Hemingway Library Edition (Scribner, Reprint edition, 2014) and For Whom the Bell Tolls (Scribner Classics, 1995). Join us!
